2019 Signing Class Starts Strong for BMCC Softball

PENDLETON, Ore. – Head coach Steve Richards enters the 2019 season with a young squad but one with plenty of enthusiasm to take on the NWAC east division. The season has not even started yet and Coach Richards is adding a powerful group of recruits to the team for the 2020 season.

“They all have excellent character and academics in addition to their softball skills. One of the best classes of recruit’s top to bottom that we have seen here in a while. Everybody hits the ball well so our games should be exciting. It will be fun to see how far they can go” said Coach Richards about the 2019 recruits.

Angelina Costa

Angelina Costa is a catcher/first baseman from Tracy, CA. Her high school team won their Div. 1 sectional championship this past spring. Angelina plays club ball for Lady Hustle. She would like to become a vet and her favorite part of campus was visiting the FARM.

“Angelina brings left handed power to the Timberwolves lineup. She’s a very enthusiastic player and vocal leader” said Coach Richards.

Coach Richards had this to say, “A very versatile player, can catch and play both the outfield and infield. I loved the way she swings the bat, and should provide some good power to our lineup.”

Camille Snead

Camille Snead is from Nampa High School. She plays club ball for the Idaho Xtreme. Honorable mention infielder for Nampa High last spring. She plans to study Criminal Justice.

“Another very versatile player, has solid fielding skills and should see some time pitching as well. Excited to see what she does at BMCC” said Coach Richards.

Hannah Meyers

“Hannah brings a speed component to our lineup that we haven’t had in a while. A lefty slap hitter that covers a lot of ground in the outfield. Will be a welcome addition!” said Coach Richards.
