Six Timberwolves Earn NWAC Soccer Honorable Mention
PENDLETON, Ore. - Six men's and women's soccer Timberwolves earn Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) honrable mention for their success this season. From the women's soccer team, Jessalee Wilks, Faith Meine, and Cecelia Aguilera earned accolades from the NWAC. Sergio Varela, Alan Contreras, and Rogelio Ceja all earned NWAC honorable mention as well. This makes six athletes in two seasons from men's soccer to earn the award under Coach Oscar Alegria and twelve women's soccer players to earn the award under Coach Jordan Hillmick.

Women's Soccer
#6 Freshmen - Cecelia Aguilera - Cece appeared and started in all 14 games for the Timberwolves this season scoring 1 goal against Pierce. A staple in the back line for the Wolves was able to assist in the transition from offense to defense and launching counter attacks. Cece brought her skill and experience to the defensive line and was able to push the pace for the Timberwolves.
#20 Freshmen - Jessalee Wilks - Jessalee appeared in 13 of the 14 games for the Timberwolves and started in 9 games. Holding down the back line between the outside back and center back, Jessalee was quick to stop teams from entering the defensive third and lead the Wolves defensively in every game she appeared in.
#8 Freshmen - Faith Meine - Faith appeared in and started 10 games for Timberwolves in the 2021 season. A crucial member of the Wolves midfield from launching offensive attacks and defensively keeping the Wolves shape together. Scoring 1 goal on the season against Yakima.
Men's Soccer
#8 Sophomore - Rogelio Ceja - Rogelio appeared in 10 games, starting 9 for the Timberwolves this season. Scoring 1 goal with 2 assists on the season. Rogelio was the general in the midfield for the historic season the Wolves finished with a run into the post-season for the first time in program history.
#12 Sophomore - Alan Contreras - Alan appeared and started in every match for the Timberwolves this season, scoring 1 goal and earning 1 assist on the season. Alan flexing his speed and technical ability kept the defensive line as dangerous as the offensive line with his quick pace.
#5 Sophomore - Sergio Varela - Sergio appeared in 6 matches and started 5 for the Timberwolves this season, scoring 2 goals including 1 to open up the scoring in the opening round of the NWAC post season tournament. Sergio, a crafty skilled midfield/forward is quick to attack the goal and make his presence known.
