Hailey Kline Named New BMCC Softball Coach
PENDLETON, Ore. - A new era is upon the BMCC softball program as former player Hailey Kline steps into the interim head coach role for the 2020-21 season. A graduate from Pendleton High School in 2014, competed all four years for PHS softball winning two state titles in 2012 and 2014. Hailey competed for the Timberwolves from 2014-2015 before moving on to play for Eastern Oregon University from 2015-2018. During her senior season at EOU she went on to strike out 151 batters and led the Mountaineers to a national tournament berth in 2016 and 2018. “I’m excited to come back to the program, where I started my collegiate career and to help young athletes get to the next level” said Coach Kline. “I’m also excited to build upon the existing program and especially to be back in my hometown where there is such a great community atmosphere. I’m looking forward to seeing the players grow and the opportunity to coach a great group of girls.”
“I am thrilled to see Coach Kline continue on with the program and what she can do as the interim head coach. She was formally the assistant coach last season. I know the BMCC softball program will benefit greatly from her knowledge, consistency, and passion for the game” said athletic director, Dawn DiFuria McClendon.
The BMCC softball team will report for season on January 2nd, 2021, following the NWAC announcement for the return to play plan.
