PENDLETON, Ore. - With the conclusion of the men's and women's basketball regular season and just days before the start of the NWAC basketball tournament. The Northwest Athletic Conference announced the recipients of the men's and women's basketball all-league teams and awards.
Men's Basketball
Chad Napoleon was announced as a member of the 1st team all east region for men's basketball and the freshmen of the year. Chad, a freshmen center/forward from Delrey Beach, FL, started all 25 games for the Timberwolves with a 57.4% FG PCT, a 74.3% FT/G PCT, 8.4 REB/G, and averaged 25 PPG for the 2021-22 season. Coach Baxter had this to say, "Chad has worked extremely hard to get where he is. He has a big personality that really carried over into our play this season and brings a level of passion and competition that brings out the best in every player. Chad plays with the love and passion for the game that any coach wants to see in a player and is a great teammate to all around him. He is very deserving of this award and I am proud and excited for him. I am really excited to see him develop over the off season to help get us to the NWAC tournament next season." This makes the first Timberwolves men's basketball player to earn an NWAC post season award since Dedi Seme in 2017-18. To view the article on the NWAC website, click here.

Jaelyn was 40.7% on FG/G PCT, 67.4% on FT/G PCT, 5 REB/G, and averaged 14.9 PPG. McKeeley Tonkin and Jaden Chavez were also named to east region All-Defensive Team. McKeeley finished the 2021-22 season 3.6 REB/G, 1.8 AST/G, 1.8 STL/G, and 55.5% from free throw. Jaden finished the 2021-22 season 3.6 REB/G, 2.2 AST/G, 1.4 STL/G, and 56.8% from free throw. Coach Driver had this to say, "It was a pleasure to coach Jaelyn, McKeeley and Jaden this year. These awards are well-deserved due to all the hard work they put in during the season. Jaelyn was an immediate contributor on both ends of the floor and finished top-12 in the conference for points per game (15.9). McKeeley is one of the toughest players we have had in our program and set a record for charges taken in a season. Jaden is one of the best on-ball defenders in the conference and consistently made it tough on opposing point guards." These are the first NWAC post-season award recipients since Savannah Heugly in 2015-16. To view the article on the NWAC website, click here.
